Pontalon (Mefenamic Acid) 500mg Tablet may be taken with or without meals. What you take it for and how effectively it treats your symptoms will determine the dosage and duration. Even if you feel better, you should remain taking the prescription until your doctor says it’s okay to stop.

How To Use Pontalon (Mefenamic Acid) 500mg Tablet

• This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.

Contraindications:

• Patients with cardiovascular disease or at high risk of developing cardiovascular disease
• Patients with history or active gastrointestinal hemorrhage
• Renal or hepatic impairment
• Pregnancy and lactation
• Hypersensitivity to mefenamic acid, aspirin or any NSAIDs
• Patient with inflammatory bowel disease
• Renal failure
• History of hypersensitivity (asthma, urticaria)

• Mefenamic acid

Indications:

• Relief of mild to moderate pain including muscular, traumatic, dental pain, headache, post-op, postpartum pain & dysmenorrhoea.
